Stop-motion animation (1’12”) and series of charcoal drawings

Fire and Fragility is a stop-motion poetry animation that explores the ways in which fire is both powerful and vulnerable, dreamlike and destructive. Hundreds of charcoal drawings make up the animation. Each drawing is composed of fine layers of charcoal dust on paper – charcoal itself being a product of fire – which is very fragile to touch.
